The HCPSS has established a process for community feedback regarding redistricting and school boundary line adjustments. When redistricting is planned, the attendance areas adjustment process for the HCPSS begins with Regional Meetings and acceptance of applications for the Attendance Area Committee (AAC). The AAC collects public input and reviews the attendance area plans by applying criteria set by the Board of Education in accordance with Policy 6010. The AAC also reviews and comments on the current capacity needs in conjunction with anticipated redistricting. This input is taken into consideration when developing the Superintendent’s Attendance Area Adjustment Recommendation. The Superintendent’s proposed plan is then presented to the BOE and the public.
